April 21 - Day 1 - Arrive in Palermo, where you are met and transferred to your hotel by private motor coach. Welcome dinner at Hotel La Verdura.
April 22 -Day 2 - Drive to Segesta to see its fifth century BC temple. Continue to Erice, a medieval town above the bay of Castellammare del Golfo, for magnificent views of the surrounding area. After a walking tour of Erice, we will have lunch there. Travel along the Via del Sale ( salt way) toward Marsala, stopping by to admire the windmills and learn about the ancient salt production. Dinner this evening will be in the town of Sciacca. Hotel: La Verdura / Meals: B L D
April 23 - Day 3 - Spend the morning at leisure at the resort. Discover another facet of Italy’s rich culinary culture as you enjoy lunch and a tasting of locally produced olive oil at the spectacularly landscaped Becchina Estate. Then take a walking tour in Selinunte around the vast archeological sites that display the eight temples, set against the blue Mediterranean sea. We will return to the resort where dinner will be at your leisure. Hotel: La Verdura / Meals: B, L
April 24 - Day 4 - Depart La Verdura and drive to Agrigento to view the ancient Valley of the Temples that includes the famous Temple of Concord. Continue to Piazza Armerina to explore Villa Romana del Casale. Its mosaics are unparalleled, beautifully depicting hunting and domestic life. From here we will continue to our resort. Dinner at the resort. Hotel: Donnafugata Resort /Meals: B L D
April 25 - Day 5 - Early departure for Mount Etna and the wineries for lunch. We will embark on a journey to the top of Mount Etna volcano, followed by a sampling of wines at a winery in Etna and a delightful lunch. Continue to the hotel in Taormina. Dinner on your own tonight. Hotel: Grand Hotel Timeo / Meals: B L
April 26 Day 6 - Visit greek theater in Taormina and day to explore and shop. Farewell dinner together.
